How Our Food Delivery Service Works - Step by Step
Step 1: We prep meals twice a week - this covers everything we need for our food delivery service
Step 2: Share the weekly menu with our team and the people we help either digitally or face 2 face
Step 3: Cook up the meals we prepped earlier in Step 1
Step 4: Pop the hot food into our special hot holding boxes to keep everything at the correct temperature
Step 5: Get our amazing volunteers ready and ensure they are ready for thier shifts
Step 6: Volunteers pack the hot meals along with all the donated goodies we've received
Step 7: Add hot water so people can make coffee, tea, or hot chocolate
Step 8: Include our regular items that we get donated available
Step 9: If someone wants something we don't have, we'll note it down for next time
Step 10: Head out to our drop-off spots around Paignton & Torquay (we've got up to 10 locations!)
Step 11: Stick to our set times so everyone knows when we'll be there
Step 12: Make sure people know exactly when to expect us, Take time to talk and signpost to servcies they may need
Step 13: People can now choose which collection point works best for them using our simple online system
Step 14: They can also check out next week's menu online or sent a notification
Step 15: We handle all the requests through this new system or our volunetters will handel it face 2 face.
Step 16: Take note of any special requests for items we might not have today
Step 17: Make sure those requested items are ready for our next round
Step 18: Keep chatting with our volunteers and the people we serve about times and what's available

We will be starting our food runs and serving food and warm drinks to the homeless from 7pm to 9pm .
Last year we had some nights where the demand so so great, we struggled to mee the demand. This year we are ramping up to provide more meals.
I am sure there are many question and they will all be answered.
Please note - we are aware that others are handing out sleeping bags to the homeless at present and we do not want to duplicate this, so we are looking how best to provide either alternatives based on the feedback we are receiving.
