19/12/2024 All volunteers who already are registered with us and have submitted their availability for the activities for which are qualified, can now log into their accounts and choose between their possible shifts and sign up them on each and every day, just click in the tag "Opportunities" of their profile, choose opportunities list or opportunities calendar and sign for the shits you would do. None shift will overlap others.
17/12/2024 Today is our training day about "Dealing with Conflict", We are excited. It will be a session to understand the impact of negative/positive communication, preparing scenarios, understanding the protective nature of using bodycams, how team communication is key and also with the clients, and much more to encourage the volunteers to overcome barriers they may find.
04/12/2024 - Any formation that you need to complete to obtain your qualifications (except the driving licence), we are happy to provide it before assigning any activity.
02/12/2024 - We have offered a formation session to potential volunteers in our database to help them to understand an have a more holistic knowledge of the homelessness.
Additionally, we would like to invite you to a training session titled "Dealing with Conflict" on Tuesday, December 17th, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This will be a valuable opportunity to prepare you for your volunteer experience.
02/12/2024 - We have sent a Link by email for the potential volunteers to join us by filling up our Formulary in our NFM Portal.
Click on the link to submit a Formulary with your ability and general interest on the activities (roles) and we will get in contact with you.
02/12/2024 - We have already emailed to previous volunteers to inform them of this project.
We are excited to share with you our new project, our mission, a Food Trailer program to provide Dinner and Hot drinks to homeless people from 28th of December to 7th of March .
Our team of volunteers are serving meals every night for 10 weeks, alternating between Torquay and Paignton. It is a wonderful way to keep supporting our community during these colder months.
We are going to provide with winter clothes to those who need them, and other items like sleeping bags and bivi bags.
There are different roles from Chef, Cook, Driver, Assistant to driver, Befriender, On Site Coordinator and Security team. We would love to have you on board.
